SUMMARY:Overton Repair Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Our repair café is held on the 1st Saturday of each month\, at Overton Community Centre. There is no charge\, though we do welcome cash or card donations if you are able\, in order to keep the service running – it is free to use but not free to run! \nAnyone can bring an item along to have it repaired by our team of volunteer repairers. We can fix electrical items\, clothes\, wooden items\, jewellery\, tools and toys\, amongst other things. We also offer bicycle safety checks\, particularly for children’s bikes. For a bicycle check\, you will need to fill in the form in advance.  \nWe are proud to be part of the Hampshire Repair Café Network.  \nIf you have an urgent repair and can’t wait until our next event\, there are other repair cafes across North Hampshire on different weekends\, all part of this network. \n\n\nWant us to fix something?  Book in using this form.\n\n\nFilling out the form gives us a chance to assess whether it is an item we are able to repair before you turn up. It is also fine to turn up on the day with your item without having filled in the form. \nWe always need more volunteers. So if you’re a dab hand at repairing household items\, computers\, furniture\, bikes or clothes – whatever your skill set might be\, send us a message. We run the Repair Café once a month\, but you don’t need to be available for every session to volunteer with us.

SUMMARY:Maidenhead Repair Cafe
DESCRIPTION:The repair café is a volunteer-run event that was originally started from seed funding by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. It is a regular event where repair coaches help visitors to fix their beloved but broken items and extend it’s life. Items that can be fixed vary greatly\, ranging from small electrical items (e.g. kettles\, toasters etc.)\, ceramics\, upholstery and much more! Why throw it away when it can be brought back to life with just a little help? \nLearn new skills\, meet new people and create the habit of repairing and reusing things\, to prevent items from unnecessarily ending up in landfill before their time.

SUMMARY:Repairium at Reading Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Repairium is a special Repair Café at the Festival Republic Reading Festival from Wed 26th to Sun 30th August. This is a collaborative event organised by all the Berkshire Repair cafes. \nThe event draws crowds of around 90\,000 to 105\,000 people per day\, and is a famous end-of-summer rite of passage for teenagers and young adults. It heavily attracts those celebrating recent GCSE or A-Level results. \nWhat is envisioned is something along the lines of what was done at the Boomtown event last year – you can read an article about it here \nThis wouldn’t be a traditional Repair Café – the focus would be on repairing things that attendees might have issues with at festivals such as: \n\nCamping gear\nInflatable beds\nChairs\nTrolleys\nGlasses/sunglasses\nBags/rucksacks\nShoes\nCooking gear\nClothing\, etc.\n\nOur aims at the event will be to: \n\nReduce waste by repairing items during the event.\nImprove visitor experience by fixing essential items (chairs\, airbeds\, glasses\, clothing).\nPromote the repair movement and connect people to local repair cafés and repair networks.\nEducate the visitors and encourage them not to leave behind items\nRaise money through donations for Berkshire Youth
